PostSubject: Magic Guide By Phenakism   Sun May 24, 2009 10:53 pm

Hi, this is my magic guide. Well, this guide is mostly non-combat so I will not really discuss what to wear and such. The only thing I recommend is checking your stats and making sure your attack bonus for magic is 0+. So, I will start off with the requirements and go from there.

The Requirements

Well, magic is a fairly cheap skill to raise. You will require several things though. These things are:
-44+ runecrafting(or 160 nature runes)
-35k gold pieces

Shopping

Ok, if you have those requirements, continue on. We will need the following items:

-A staff of fire
-160 nature runes
-1000 fire runes
-200 chaos runes
-600 air runes

For the items in green, you will need to go to Thessalia's clothing store. It's located slightly south-west of the the water fountain and is located beside a white and red tent.

For the items in white, you will need to runecraft them or buy them. I recommend runecrafting. Please visit this guide to learn how to runecraft: http://freeroam.powerrpg.net/player-guides-f7/runecrafting-guide-by-phenakism-t1289.htm#10270

For the items in blue, you will need to go to Zaff's staffs. It's located slightly north-west of the water fountain.

The Training

Now, let's get down to business! This will be the most difficult part of the guide. I will try to guide you through it and make it as easy as possible though don't worry, it's not that hard Smile. I will put this into a format of subsections to make it easier to read. Please refer to the map created to make things easier.

Levels 1-35

You won't need anything for this section, in fact, don't bring anything! The place I recommend is at the Mage Training Area. To get there, simply teleport to Al'Kharid and go south and go into the dueling arena. Go to the main building that look's like a hospital and go behind it. Once your behind it, go directly south and you will reach the mage training area. Once your there, enter through the door way and go south to the end of the building. You should notice some teleporters, select any of them and you should go into an underground area. Search the four corners of the building and pick up the shapes. You will need seven of each. Once you have finished that, go to the center of the building and deposit them in the hole. You should have around 40 magic.

Levels 36-55

Equip your staff of fire and bring 1k fire runes, 200 chaos runes and 600 air runes. Set your spell to fire bolt. Now simply teleport to ::home/edgeville and use the golden portal. Select the Rock Crabs(easy training) option. Once your there, start casting away.

Levels 56-99

For this section of the guide, I recommend alchemy. I recommend using things such as tokkul and other easily obtainable items. Simply use your alchemy spell on your choice of item in your inventory. You'll reach 99 in no time Smile. *Make sure to equip your staff of fire*

Lunar Magicks
For this section, I just wanted to show you my Lunar Magicks guide. This is just to show you what you may do with your mage. Another option is to try out ancients so explore!

Spoiler:

Getting a skill cape

Well, if you have followed this guide then you should have 99 magic! Why not show it off. To get a skill cape, teleport to Al'Kharid and head west to the general store. Trade the shop keeper or the shop assistant to purchase a skill cape.

Any feedback would be nice

That's not good feedback. I've been making guides before you and your skill capes section was similar to mine, even used similar colors. I also stated in my earlier guides like fishing that I would make a guide for every 99 stat I get whether others have made one or not.

Also, if you think I made this guide to compete, your mistaken. I made this guide to get involved in the community.

if you want to keep 10 hp and have 99 mage (like i did), you can do the mage training arena til 55 mage and then get 99 from alchs. this is alot slower since it takes a couple seconds in between picking up each shape.
