Hi. This is my first quest guide so, let's begin! I will start off with the requirements and go from there.

The Requirements

There is only one requirement and that is:

-750 gold pieces

Shopping

Bring 750 gold pieces and then teleport to Varrock. Once your in Varrock, head slightly west to Zaff's Staffs. Trade Zaff and purchase 50 rune essence.

Quest line

Talk to Aubury in the Varrock general store.

Aubury: Hi, wizards are trying to find a way to craft runes instead of us buying them from other towns. Will you talk to the Zamorak Mage for me?

You: Yes, I will.

Aubury: Great, thanks!

Now, teleport to ::home/edgeville. Go inside the bank and go to the northern end of the bank. Find the wizard in red robes. He's the Zamorak Mage. Talk to him. Make sure to bring your remaining 500 gold pieces.

Mage of Zamorak: So, you came here for information. Give me 500 gold pieces and I will give you information.

You: Yes, give the Zamorak Mage 500 gold pieces.

Mage of Zamorak: I will give you my information now. I'm a wizard from another town and I can craft runes. Nobody in Free Roam can craft runes! I can turn worthless essence into expensive runes.

Now that you have some information. Talk to Aubury in Varrock. To get to him, teleport to varrock and go to the general store.

Aubury: You're telling me the Zamorak Mage can craft runes? Please get me 50 runes essence and make sure to note them.

Make sure you have your 50 noted rune essence and talk to Aubury again.
